I'm Tom Mikolyuk, a Seattle-based mechanical engineer & prolific wearer of multiple hats.
I'm currently at Chiplytics, an early-stage startup commercializing non-destructive methods to electrically inspect and authenticate microchips. As Intern #1 and then Employee #1, I've fabricated every Quickturn Socket, Power Spectrum Analysis unit, and Microelectronics Inspection Platform out in the world.
I hold a BSME with Interdisciplinary Honors from the University of Washington, where I co-invented a new medical device (that I'm still working on as a consultant), redeveloped an accessibility co-design program, taught design drawing workshops, and researched architected composites.
When I'm not bashing my head in over SolidWorks crashes, I enjoy finding new skill trees to explore and level up in. Last year, I overcame ARFID and became a foodie, and ran my first 10K and half-marathon road races. This year, I've been bouldering, playing tennis, designing stickers, and slowly learning HTML so I can turn this website into something more interesting.
I'm broadly interested in public health, urbanism, and design education, and always looking for volunteer opportunities. Reach me at tom(at)mikoly(dot)uk or on LinkedIn.
